Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra was started by Shri Adi Shankaracharya. The literal meaning of this Yatra is to visit four different holy destinations and devoting oneself to God. The Chardham Yatra consists of the four places of Yamnotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. It is estimated that more than 200,000 of worshipers are visiting Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra every year. Many people are not having the privilege going on this tour. The ones who cannot go for Badrinath tour state that they are not the chosen one. But the reality is that they do not have the Chardham best packages with them. There is no need for making a delay as most of these places are to visit at the perfect time of the year which starts from May 2018. The placed is filled with a thick snow layer and the atmosphere is also not accurate. But this is the only time of the year that has the power make the prayers and devotion to reach the ears of God. All the places are having their own significance and powers instated in them.
Yamunotri Dham !!
The starting of Chardham best packages starts from this place. The Yamunotri Dham is considered as one of the Chardham best packages. This place 3164 meters above the sea level and dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. The legend says that the Yamuna is the sister of Yamraj. Within a ceremony of Bhai dhuj Yamraj gave his words to the Yamuna that anyone who dips on River Yamuna will never be taken to Yamlok (hell). The Badrinath tour is not finished until a person takes a dip in the River Yamuna as he attains salvation.
Gangotri Dham !!
The name Gangotri signifies to the name Goddess Ganga and the temple was created in the 18th century. When a king named Bhagirath first met Lord Shiva then Goddess Ganga was residing on his head. It was that place where Ganga first touched the grounds of earth. There is another legend which comprises of Pandavas. The Pandavas performed Deva Yagna in order to give respect to their Kingsman who died in the battle of Mahabharata. This place is also famous for Gomukh which is the origin place of Ganga River. The Gangotri Dham is 3200 meters above sea level. The river Ganga is respected for its purity and sanctity. Thus before visiting any temple a person needs to take a dip in the water of this river and receive the Pilgrimage Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra.
Kedarnath Dham !!
The Kedarnath tour is the visit of a temple which is standing for 1000 years. It is said that the temple was created in 8th Century A.D. by Shri Adi Shankaracharya himself. The temple is situated near the temple that was created by Pandavas. The temple has the main idol in the form of a bull termed as Nandi. The temple is significant to the God of Destruction Lord Shiva. The temple opens its door from the starting of May and remains closed in the month of Kartik Poornima. Just behind the temple of Kedarnath, there is the shamadhi of Shi Adi Shankaracharya. After establishing four sacred places Shri Adi Shankaracharya took samadhi when he was only 32 years old. Moving just half a kilometer away from Kedarnath temple, there is a temple of Bhaironath. It is believed that when the temple of Kedarnath is closed then Bhaironath is the only one who saves the temple from any kind of evil. The Chardham Yatra have many things that unfolds itself when a person visits it.
Badrinath Dham !!
Badrinath is last resort of the Chardham Yatra and the holiest place among four shrines. It is situated 3,133 meters above the sea leave within the River Alaknanda left bank. Through this season the land near the places is filled with wild berries known as badris. The Chardham yatra from Haridwar ends here which completes the Tour Chardham. The legend says that when Ganga came to earth when the humanity was suffering from danger. Then when Ganga drop herself from above the earth was having the power to withstand its force. The result was that the Ganga was divided into twelve different holy flows. Badrinath is the place where Ganga flows to separate into different channels. There are Lord Vishnu sacred temples which are termed as Vishal Badri. It is also instated that Shri Adi Shankaracharya visited Badrinath to attain proper freedom from reincarnation. This last Dham is meant for visiting the protector of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva (Holy Trinity)

Visit en-route visit Kempty Fall at Mussoorie, The Kempty Falls are situated on the hilly tracks of Uttarakhand, India, 13 km from Mussoorie on the Chakrata Road. It is nearly 1364 meters above sea level, at 78°-02’East longitude and 30° -29’North latitude. Overnight stay at Hotel.
BARKOT – YAMUNOTRI DHAM DARSHAN – BARKOT (40 kms/ 2hrs) 6 kms TREKAfter breakfast, proceed to Hanuman Chatti, from here you have to take local jeeps for Janki chatti (It helps to reduce the trek upto 7 kms), trek start from here to Yamunotri (6kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila, After taking bath in Jamunabai Kund's warn water and having "Darshan" of pious "Yamunaji" returning to Hanumanchatti. Later drive back to to Barkot.Overnight stay at Hotel.

Uttarkashi Temple: meaning Kashi of the north, is a town in Uttarakhand, India. It is the district headquarters of Uttarkashi district. Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi at an altitude of 1158 m above sea level.
UTTARKASHI – GANGOTRI DHAM DARSHAN – UTTARKASHI (100 kms/ 3hrs)After breakfast, proceed to Gangotri (3048 mts), en-route we enjoy picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. After Gangotri Darshan drive back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Gangotri Temple: The temple, constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi.

Kedarnath Temple: The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the belly at Madhmaheshwar and his locks (hair) with head at Kalpeshwar. Badrinath Temple: one of the "Four Dhams" is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus the place got the name "Badri van", meaning "forest of berries".
